About Me
I'm EA and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2015, I began my career in literacy education at Lindamood-Bell Learning Center, where I learned about the sensory-cognitive processes responsible for phonemic awareness and comprehension. Since 2016, I've worked as a tutor at Charlotte Country Day School and have the privilege of working with some of the brightest, most hard-working kids on the planet. I have a masters in Special Education and I've worked alongside students with ADHD, dyslexia, processing disorders, and those on the spectrum for almost a decade.

I'm passionate about helping students visualize what they've read in order to understand and articulate the meaning of the text. Dr. Jeffrey D. Wilhelm put it this way: "Without visualization, students cannot comprehend, and reading cannot be said to be reading" (Reading is Seeing, 2004).
